MUNDUS joins the CircuWasteVETAfrica project partners

MUNDUS has joined 7 other partners in the CircuWasteVETAfrica project to promote Green waste management and Circular Economy skills in Africa through vocational training and capacity-building programmes. The Erasmus+ project funded by the European commission kicked off in the beginning of the year and has since been working towards achieving its objectives through the efforts of its dynamic partnerships across Europe and Africa.

The organisation based in Spain specialises in international mobility and vocational training, aims to enhance youth employability through non-formal education. Their mission is to promote international cooperation, foster vocational education, and make global work opportunities accessible to all. With a vision of leading the international mobility sector while creating a local impact, MUNDUS drives innovation and cooperation through strategic projects.

They are guided by values of intercultural learning, social inclusion, and non-formal education, they strive to empower young people and contribute to a more connected and skilled workforce. In their effort to achieve this, they will ensure quality assurance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and impact assessment during the course of the two year project, particularly in reporting data and facilitating effective communication through project management tools like the intranet, planning systems, and data repositories. The organisation is responsible for drafting the Risk Management Plan (RMP), identifying and assessing risks, and maintaining a Risk Register with mitigation and corrective actions.

The partner is represented by Sergio Lagarde, Coordinator of Mundus Action in Africa and Project Manager, Enrique Romeo. They will be leveraging  their experiences to lead the Train the Trainers evaluation, assess trainers’ performance, effectiveness, and the overall impact of the training on learners. With close collaboration with AREA, the project coordinator, Mundus will also work as the leader of the Boost Impact and Communication of the project, and prepare related reports. They will also work with  Fondazione CNOS-FAP ETS from Italy, Minimos Quadrados from Portugal, while its African partners include VIS ANGOLA, Presbyterian Relief Services and Development, Centro de Formação Profissional de São Tomé e Príncipe, and Swakopmund Municipality from Angola, Ghana, São Tomé, and Namibia respectively.

With its experience and commitment towards education and development, MUNDUS is on its way to tackle challenges in education, employment, and empowerment through the CircuWasteVETAfrica project.
