MQ, a dynamic Portuguese consulting and research SME, has joined the CircuWasteVETAfrica project. The Erasmus+ project, funded by the European Commission, is advancing green skills and circular economy education across Africa’s Technical and Vocational Education Training systems.
Â
With experience in Erasmus+ cooperation partnership projects, notably in the design and development of educational and training materials, including circular economy and green entrepreneurship, MQ brings a wealth of experience in circular economy, sustainability, and the Blue Economy. Their recent launch of the Sustainability Projects Hub, an online platform that focuses on the dissemination of results from projects that address Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues, shows their commitment to addressing environmental issues and development.
Â
Their contribution to the project involves the co-design of the Train the Trainers methodology, the development of core training modules, delivery of the training sessions, as well as the promotion of the project’s tools within their reach and relevant stakeholders across Europe.
Â
As part of their responsibilities within the Train the Trainers modules development, MQ is leading the creation of two critical components of the six programmes: Circular Waste Technical Skills and Circular Business Model. These modules will define learning outcomes and offer practical, high-impact training materials tailored to equip trainers with essential knowledge and tools to teach circular principles effectively.

They are represented by Isabel Gonçalves, project director with work experience that spans sustainable waste management, and João d’Orey, founder and managing director of the company. They will be leveraging their experiences to provide training that is practical, scalable, and aligns with real-world sustainability challenges and opportunities in Africa.
