Meet the Project Coordinator

AREA, an SME based in Udine, Italy, leads the CircuWasteVETAfrica project. The Erasmus+ project, funded by the European Commission, kicked off at the start of the year and is already making strides through its vibrant network of partners spanning Europe and Africa.

AREA bridges the gap between innovative ideas and real-world solutions by sourcing the right technologies, conducting research and innovation, and supporting capacity building that drives sustainable development. With a strong focus on education and green innovation, AREA works with private and public institutions, working closely on targeted training programmes and collaborative projects. With previous experience as a coordinator of Erasmus+ initiatives, including the recently concluded GreenvetAfrica project. The organisation, under the leadership of Adriano Mauro, brings its extensive experience in managing industrial vocational and technical training programmes across Africa, along with a strong track record in successful project implementation, into the CircuWasteVETAfrica project.

 

The organisation will lead the overall management and coordination of the CircuWasteVETAfrica (CWVA) project, providing strategic direction across all partner efforts. This includes overseeing the organisation and management of consortium activities and liaison with the European Commission. AREA will also be responsible for managing project planning, monitoring budget consumption, ensuring timely submission of deliverables and milestones, and organising all management workshops and meetings. As part of their role, AREA will work closely with MUNDUS to support the communication and dissemination activities of the project. It will make available and exploit the Smart Step eLearning Platform for the dissemination of the training materials developed by the project.

The partner is represented by Eleonora Vitale, the project coordinator, and communication specialist, Blessing Sorinola. They will be working to ensure strong collaboration among the partners and developing strategic plans to support communication efforts.
